Caudal Epidural Blocks

Sphenopalatine Ganglion Nerve blocks

The sphenopalatine ganglion block is a short noninvasive procedure that is effective in treating some acute and chronic headaches and head and neck pains. This ganglion is a cluster of nerves inside the middle of the skull which connects to several areas of the head so can be used to treat a variety of conditions.

  • Migraine headaches
  • Acute and cluster headaches
  • TMJ pain
  • Herpes zoster (shingles)
  • Atypical facial or head pain
  • Head and neck cancer
  • Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)
  • Chronic vasomotor rhinitis not controlled by medication
  • Sluder’s Neuralgia

Depending on your pain condition there are many other possible nerve blocks that may be helpful.  I may use my ultrasound machine to provide this service.
